 EBEL RITA LOUISE NOVAK Passed away peacefully February 8, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Rita was born on November 27, 1922 to Anthony and Alice Novak in Detroit, MI. For 65 years she was married to Dr. Henry E. Ebel (deceased) and was blessed with 10 children, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Left behind to cherish her loving memory are her daughters Nancy Ebel, Lynda (Ebel) Miller, Rita (Ebel) Baidas, Susan Ebel, Joy Ebel, Marsha (Ebel) Bobowski, and Kim (Ebel) Trudeau and her sons: Michael Ebel, Dennis Ebel and Henry Ebel III and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew her only with love and affection as "Gramma Rita". Rita is survived by her sisters Patricia Zajkowski, Donna Garczynski, brothers Tony Novak and Chuck Novak plus many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Jerry Novak. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 42600 Ford Rd, Canton, MI on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Rd, Canton, MI. Margie spent 20 years as a military wife and enjoyed the travel and meeting new people. Survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Robert Haley, Jr., daughter of the late John and Evelyn Peters. Loving mother of Thomas, Rebecca (Gary) Sakwa, Joseph (Corrine), Laura (Donald) Crawford and the late Kathryn Ann. Grandmother of Gregory Lewis, Chad Crawford, Lcpl USMC Eric Crawford (fiance Liana Senk) and step-grandmother of John and Joey Biggus. Great grandmother of Savannah and Landen Crawford.  HEBERLEIN BEULAH A. of Bay City, Michigan passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Carriage House Nursing Home. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Marshall) Brooks was born March 3, 1916 in Clare, MI. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was very involved and sang in the choir. Beulah was active member and contributor of the Women's Bible Study Group. For many years she had season tickets along with her friends for the Midland Center for the Arts music series and for the Bay City Players. Beulah also enjoyed her monthly bridge club. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Mary Louise and Larry Cross of Sterling Heights, Richard Brooks and Lynn Heberlein of Ann Arbor, David Bruce Heberlein of East Lansing and Joel Mark and Jo Lyn Heberlein of Chicago, IL., her grandchildren; (Deana) Brian Fisher, Matthew (Yolanda) Cross, Andrea (Captain Dirk serving with the U.S. Army) Cross-Isrow, Sarah Heberlein , Rebecca (Scott) Heberlein-Rolins, Paul Heberlein, Jeremy (Michelle) Heberlein, Ethan Moes and Kristin Hendersen, nine great grandchildren, one sister; Madeline Birkmier, one sister-in-law; Dorothy Brooks. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Paul Karl Heberlein and one son; Paul Jerold Heberlein. Funeral and Committal will take place Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 12:00 O'clock Noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm with cremation following. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2- 4 p.m. and 6- 8 p.m. Mrs. Heberlein will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Cards for Westminster Presbyterian Church will be available at the funeral home.
